Your Personal Roleplay Experience:
Well, started with those tabletop varieties, but sadly the group I was affiliated with could never quite get beyond the bar setting(a staple for fantasy RPGs) so I said goodbye to that, plus dice are too constricting. Later came the play and post RPGs you find on message boards, but the novelty of those wore off when every other person played a xeroxed Mary Sue or Gary Stu and had complete disregard for concepts such as story, plot, etc.

Where did you hear about House of Thorns?:
I was looking to add a new dimension to my playing experience and decided "Hell, go for an RP Group, these MMOs seem made for that, you sure can't interact much with the NPCs in the game." Went searching around for any information and too be perfectly honest, at first, I was just attracted to the name. Couldn't see joining the numerous proper noun named groups, as for the other part...

What appeals to you the most about the Guild?:
HOW CONVENIENT! Just the question I was looking for. The theme and concept of the group are just so different and unique. No offense to any of the other groups, but they're just so cliched in my mind. With this group I feel I can stretch out into some new writing territory, always an exciting prospect.

In what way do you see yourself contribute to the Group?
Well in character, tremendous firepower, I am mostly power armor after all. Out of character, not to brag(I don't believe in modesty, if you're good at something, be direct about it.) I know what really makes a story and plot move. I've been a writer and teaching other people about writing for years and concepts like heat, pop, build, drama, etc are almost second nature to me, so I can contribute a great deal to quality of the groups RPs. In my mind, if you can't go back and read it again and again after you've written it, you've wasted your time.

What's your characters traits; Their flaws, their strengths?
The character concept I'm hoping to use is that of someone who ended up involved with the House of Thorns through sheer dumb luck honestly. He made a mistake/did something and is at first and feels honor bound to repay a debt to the House. At first he's somewhat (humorously) uncomfortable with his surroundings, but as he grows to know the members of the House, their openness about who they are begins to rub off on him and he too begins to open up to the others members of the house, but more importantly to himself. Character growth is an incredible thing and being able to work with it is always a treat in my opinion.

For flaws, mainly for abit of humor and to give him a big wall to climb, my character's main flaw is women. He's not really sure exactly how to act or what to do around them(hiding alot of his discomfort with sarcasm and bad jokes), which would lead to some rather awkward moments, but later some real serious and emotional stuffs as his relationships among the group grow.

As for strengths, being a cybernetically enhanced human who runs on a near limitless source of power has it's benefits as he's stronger, faster, and much more durable than your average human being, even more so when he transforms into his combat armor. That a somewhat wealth of knowledge of numerous(and sometimes quite useless) things helps too.

Niche Worker, goes around, doing various odd jobs.

Usually in the late afternoons and evenings. On days off, I usually stay up abit later than usual.

I assume (Because your applying here) he's interested in BDSM and similar themes?

I myself as a person am fascinated to learn things. Anything new or that I don't have much knowledge about fascinates me, so this will be learning experience for me both in-character and out of character.

As for Denzaiver, I aim to keep him kinda shy and naive at first, so if talked into something like that, he'd probably agree to it, just to get an idea of what is involved.

Just be aware that that question has put some very funny ideas in my head though.

The first being a scene almost right out of the Corsican Brothers as due to enhanced durability, the S of the S&M is really gonna have to put some effort into causing him some pain. The flip-side of that is that the toughness and regeneration might "backfire" as it were, causing the S to really really enjoy the new things they can experiment on him with.

The second being I have two costume slots I'm not doing anything with, so an employee uniform as well as some bondage gear would give me two costumes right there...though the latter would certain be something strange to superhero around in.

Also, we have explored what bdsm might be like with Heroes, and indeed, there is quite a bit to consider there.

I like dramatic and serious stuffs as well, especially when the right kinda build and attention is applied to them to really add weight to the whole situation.

While humor is good to relieve tension, an appropriately dramatic scene or arc/angle is the kinda thing to send shivers down your spine and reminds you why you do what you do in the first place. Breathtaking almost when you think about it.

In the end, I just wanna have some fun and I hope everyone else has fun too!

I realized there is a question I forgot to ask in all of this.

How are nemesis and nemesis missions handled within the IC? I have a slightly inkling about it, but I don't want to get presumptuous and start stepping all over things.

What most seem to be doing (including myself) is tie our Nemesis to our backgrounds/storylines, and invite people into Nemesis missions for RP. There is of course a degree of give and take regarding to the missions themselves and the Nemesis' plans since those don't always match what we have in mind for them story-wise.
